With the spread of the Coronavirus affecting the country, it has been beautiful to watch community members step up to care for others. In our Omaha community, one of these members is Chef Glenn Wheeler, a chef with a compassionate heart to help those in need.
I saw one of his posts on Facebook last week, asking if restaurants had extra food they could turn into meals for the community. Within hours he gathered other chefs and merged with our downtown’s beloved Dandelion Pop-up to help feed the hungry. I believe he has built himself a reputation of a servant’s heart, a heart that can be depended on to donate and fundraise to make Omaha a better place.
